Clifford Morris<br />
Clifford “Red” MORRIS, 41, 223 West Third street, died Wednesday at 10 p.m. in South<br />
Bend Memorial hospital. He had been ill three weeks.<br />
Born Dec. 29, 1929, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, he was the son of Dick and Susie DAVIS<br />
MORRIS. A lifetime resident of the <strong>Rochester</strong> community, he was a member of the Bethlehem<br />
Baptist church, Newcastle township. He had been employed by the Charles Fear and Sons<br />
Implement company, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Vicki MORRIS and Miss Lisa MORRIS, both of<br />
<strong>Rochester</strong>; his father, Dick MORRIS, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong>; three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Frances)<br />
BAKER, Bourbon, and Mrs. Bethel (Donna Jean) OLINGER and Mrs. George (Marilyn)<br />
HALTERMAN, both of R.R. 1, <strong>Rochester</strong>; one brother, Joe MORRIS, <strong>Rochester</strong>, nieces and<br />
nephews.<br />
Final rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home, with the Rev.<br />
Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at<br />
the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.<br />
Lona Pontious<br />
Final rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Haupert funeral home, Akron, for Mrs. Lona<br />
PONTIOUS, 73, Huntington, who died Wednesday at 3:20 a.m. in Spooner, Wis.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. J. D. THOMASON will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery,<br />
Athens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.<br />
Born Aug. 27, 1896, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Herbert and Minnie<br />
SHELLHAMER RIGGLE. Her marriage was to George PONTIOUS, who survives. She was a<br />
member of the Huntington Church of God and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of<br />
Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.<br />
Surviving with the husband are four sons, Eugene PONTIOUS, Miami, Fla., Frank<br />
PONTIOUS, Indianapolis, George PONTIOUS, Jr., California, and Stanley PONTIOUS, Gary;<br />
one daughter, Patricia HUMMER; thirteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;<br />
two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Ola) BALLENGER, R.R. 2, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Mrs. Charles<br />
(Zelda) WHITE, R.R. 2, Akron, and two brothers, Arlo RIGGLE, Huntington, and George<br />
RIGGLE, Houston, Texas.<br />
Alfred D. Tossell<br />
Alfred D. [TOSSELL], former Tippecanoe resident, died near midnight Tuesday in<br />
Zepher Hills, Fla.<br />
Final rites are pending in the Grossman funeral home, Argos.
