Effie Eaton<br />

Effie EATON, 90, Akron, died today at 5:30 a.m. in Murphy Medical center, Warsaw.<br />

Born Nov. 4, 1879, in Kosciusko county, she was the daughter of Irvin and Adline<br />

BLACK. Her marriage was Dec. 23, 1899, near Burket, to Jonas EATON, who died in 1961. She<br />

was a lifetime resident of the Beaver Dam and Akron communities and was a member of the<br />

Beaver Dam United Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mabel) DOWNING, Hammond; one son, Carl<br />

EATON, Akron; one grandchild, and three great-grancchildren. One son, one brother and one<br />

sister preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sheetz funeral home, Akron. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Peter HANSTRA will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday and until the services Thursday.<br />

Wednesday, April 22, <strong>1970</strong><br />

Wayne Wildrick<br />

Wayne WILDRICK, 57, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died suddenly today at 4 a.m. in St. Joseph hospital,<br />

South Bend, where he had been admitted April 14 for cataract surgery. He suffered a heart attack.<br />

Born Dec. 22, 1912, in Rensselaer, he was the son of Joseph and Grace CARTER<br />

WILDRICK. His marriage was March 30, 1946, in Gary, to Emma R. MILLER, who survives.<br />

Moving from Rensselaer, he had lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> for the past 24 years. He was a custodian a<br />

the <strong>Rochester</strong> Middle school and a member of the Masonic lodge and the Order of Eastern Star,<br />

the American Legion, the Manitou Moose lodge and the United Methodist church, all of<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Surviving with the wife are his mother, Mrs. Grace WILDRICK, South Bend; one sister,<br />

Mrs. Phillip (Leone) SCHERMERHORN, South Bend; one brother, Robert WILDRICK, Crown<br />

Point, and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Mrs. Mildred COLLARD, preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the<br />

Rev. Laurence I. SMITH officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Masonic services will be Thursday at 7:30<br />

p.m. in the funeral home.<br />

Edward Clayburn<br />

Edward CLAYBURN, 80, Fletcher, N.C., formerly oif the <strong>Rochester</strong> area, died Tuesday<br />

at 7:40 p.m. in the Mountain Sanitarium in Fletcher.<br />

Born Nov. 13, 1889, in Wabash county, he was the son of William W. and Elizabeth<br />

STAVER CLAYBURN. His marriage was to Edith BORDEN who survives. He had lived most<br />

of his life in the <strong>Rochester</strong> area and was a retired farmer and logger.<br />

Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Josephine CLAYBURN, Fletcher, N.C.; three<br />

sons, William CLAYBURN, Paoli, Oliver CLAYBURN, Eagle, Mich., and Duane CLAYBURN,<br />

Hinsdale, Ill.; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildre, and several nieces and nephews<br />

including Russell PRATT, Akron.<br />

Final rites will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the<br />

Rev. Arthur C. SCHNELL officiating. Burial will be in the Reichter cemetery, <strong>Fulton</strong> county.<br />

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
