Effie Eaton
Effie EATON, 90, Akron, died today at 5:30 a.m. in Murphy Medical center, Warsaw.
Born Nov. 4, 1879, in Kosciusko county, she was the daughter of Irvin and Adline
BLACK. Her marriage was Dec. 23, 1899, near Burket, to Jonas EATON, who died in 1961. She
was a lifetime resident of the Beaver Dam and Akron communities and was a member of the
Beaver Dam United Methodist church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mabel) DOWNING, Hammond; one son, Carl
EATON, Akron; one grandchild, and three great-grancchildren. One son, one brother and one
sister preceded in death.
Final rites will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sheetz funeral home, Akron. The Rev.
Peter HANSTRA will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the
funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday and until the services Thursday.

Wayne Wildrick
Wayne WILDRICK, 57, Rochester, died suddenly today at 4 a.m. in St. Joseph hospital,
South Bend, where he had been admitted April 14 for cataract surgery. He suffered a heart attack.
Born Dec. 22, 1912, in Rensselaer, he was the son of Joseph and Grace CARTER
WILDRICK. His marriage was March 30, 1946, in Gary, to Emma R. MILLER, who survives.
Moving from Rensselaer, he had lived in Rochester for the past 24 years. He was a custodian a
the Rochester Middle school and a member of the Masonic lodge and the Order of Eastern Star,
the American Legion, the Manitou Moose lodge and the United Methodist church, all of
Rochester.
Surviving with the wife are his mother, Mrs. Grace WILDRICK, South Bend; one sister,
Mrs. Phillip (Leone) SCHERMERHORN, South Bend; one brother, Robert WILDRICK, Crown
Point, and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Mrs. Mildred COLLARD, preceded in death.
Final rites will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the
Rev. Laurence I. SMITH officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Masonic services will be Thursday at 7:30
p.m. in the funeral home.
Edward Clayburn
Edward CLAYBURN, 80, Fletcher, N.C., formerly oif the Rochester area, died Tuesday
at 7:40 p.m. in the Mountain Sanitarium in Fletcher.
Born Nov. 13, 1889, in Wabash county, he was the son of William W. and Elizabeth
STAVER CLAYBURN. His marriage was to Edith BORDEN who survives. He had lived most
of his life in the Rochester area and was a retired farmer and logger.
Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Josephine CLAYBURN, Fletcher, N.C.; three
sons, William CLAYBURN, Paoli, Oliver CLAYBURN, Eagle, Mich., and Duane CLAYBURN,
Hinsdale, Ill.; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildre, and several nieces and nephews
including Russell PRATT, Akron.
Final rites will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the
Rev. Arthur C. SCHNELL officiating. Burial will be in the Reichter cemetery, Fulton county.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
