another week, that is about all my plans till the funeral on
Monday in Crawley.
Friday. Announce to your psychiatric nurse that you
intend this time to go a full four weeks to next Friday not just
three weeks as last time without your injection – what
happens? You get a panic phone call at 12 o’clock saying the
Doctor’s in the office as ever – come and see (she) GOD
urgently! (In other words she suddenly got nervous about not
being seen to do her job and to ensure that I at least
approximated to the depot frequencies as on Dr Geraldine
O’Sullivan’s medication chart!) Finally the Doctor actually
condescended to talk to me on the phone and virtually insisted
I had the depot that day ‘in case of stress at the funeral’ was
her excuse… Last time she used that tone of voice it was last
year to say ‘ve sind sending you to mental hospital – at a time
of our choosing!!!’ So Jackie came round and injected me – a
concession I was to very much regret shortly, as we see in a
minute. Julie and I shopped for steak and salad for supper,
and were very much embarrassed when Paul appeared when
we sitting at a bench outside before walking home. For his
‘lambretta mod’ parka was all slashed – then he started
catcalling innocent passing women and girls until we set off
home, too embarrassed to endure any more. Apparently he
had secured a Tribunal so his Doctor ‘had been forced’ he
claimed to lift his Section 3 that day. As I write he has only
turned up here once, at 11pm at night on Saturday 8 th
September, so I told him where to get off – over my access
phone.
Saturday night the depot made me sleep from 10pm till
1pm the next day – only waking up when the delivery men
from www.tesco.com rang to say that they would arrive at 2pm
or thereabouts. They duly delivered our two mountain bikes,
and I got the parts out of the boxes on our two landings and we
put them together with little problem – brand new mauve and
silver mountain monsters. We needed to lock such brand new
expensive bikes – so first I tried the local bike shop – but got
there a minute after it closed at the most peculiar time of 5.15
on Saturdays. So I got back to the flats, and Julie and I drove
quickly to Halfords in Harlow retail park, where to save
travelling there too often I spent a lot of money – over £200 –
filling my only remaining credit card from nothing immediately
