letter to leverage the other credit card company that I have a
repayment arrangement with, Citi, to do something similar. I
am on tenterhooks till then, now that I have beaten off a small
crisis by virtue of money arriving early!
Once the dust finally settles on whatever happens to these two
credit card accounts, each after all of nine months of asking for
something to be done and getting no response at all, there is
better news still. My father has said he is prepared to make me
an interest free loan for over £500 to pay off Capital One, to
whom I pay about £8 interest a month on £200 credit at its
limit, and Littlewoods, who will start charging interest from next
February unless I pay off the interest free Buy Now Pay Later
sum before then.
In the meantime before negotiating with these two aggressive
credit card companies, I am trying my luck and hoping to raise
some money by advertising the following on eBay: -
• Thirteen golf clubs
• My once prized bronze and resin statuette of a nude
couple kissing – I have got fed up with it, it only reminds
me of the identical one I gave to Diamond, my alcoholic
former girlfriend!
• A pair of (size 12!) ski boots
• A car bodywork dent repair kit
• A Japanese bracelet I was given in the hospital in London
last year!
Previous experience of eBay years ago was bad – there were no
bids – so that may well be repeated this time, particularly as I
have put realistic minimum bid prices, and there is as we all
know a massive recession on; so the bargain hunters who
haunt eBay may well ignore my adverts! However if I cannot
raise some money this way; I will find it hard to buy the zoom
telephoto lens that I really need for my new camera; or to
order six proof books I need from Lulu (see the next section).
