So on Monday I am now expecting phone calls from: -

• A company called www.bpath.com from whom on Friday I
ordered two of their most basic packages – to have my
two existing web-sites submitted to the leading 100+
search engines in the world. I could not afford their more
lucrative offerings – all three more expensive ones submit
to all of 400 search engines – with various extras!
The whole weekend, aghast that seemingly the world recession
meant only 20% initial replies from 130+ agents and
publishers, with just a trickle since, I realized it was the very
end of the road for conventional publishing of my books! My
thoughts since Friday had increasingly turned to my usual
worries for both Julie and I, her on her miniscule, ridiculous pay
especially, to money! I had been lending/giving her about £25
a week for months on average, and we still awaited her tax
rebate and possibly holiday pay, both due in weeks or less,
before I could see any chance of her repaying any of that! She
might well complain that I never took her out – but she was
