• A ’Harrington’ leather jacket, three T-shirts and a pair of
jeans
• A designer polyester dressing gown
• An Adidas track suit and two T shirts
• As a special offer, two duvet covers, two sheets, four
pillowcases in two matching sets.
It all came to over £500 including the credit mark up so unless
I can get my credit card charges refunded to what I need to
settle at the non-credit price – I will owe Littlewoods a lot of
money in 2010! Finally that day, that evening I printed off 1
2/3 copies – until the paper ran out - of chapters 4-6 of
‘Scientific Proof’ - to send to the four agencies that had
requested hard copy. The blue ink was running out, but I had
no money till tomorrow. I had also printed off four copies of a
letter similar, but different to, the email version, as it referred
to ‘enclosures’ not ‘attachments’; the synopsis as on the web
site; and my CV.
So on Saturday, in order to complete the small mail shot of four
envelopes each containing a self addressed stamped return
envelope, I got my remaining money out of an ATM, having
paid my Citi card bill of £22.11 over the phone, and proceeded
to stretch my budget up town! I bought: -
• 12 A4 envelopes at the graphics shop @ 10p each = £1.20
• 20 cigarettes and a jar of coffee (reduced) in the post
office for £8.30
• Two 500 sheet packs of A4 paper there also for £5.00
• Eight stamps @ 90p (there and back for 4 packages)
having made up just one and having it weighed before
posting it = £7.20
• A set of four compatible ink cartridges in the Internet café
£17.00
• Tesco shop £20.50
• 100 cigarettes, 2oz ‘Samson’ rolling tobacco and two
papers and two lottery scratchcards that lost! £33
