and fruit juice. While I ordered the above bits and pieces there
was a fraud alert but I soon phoned the bank and sorted that
out! I was now skint even though my father had given me
£200 for computer bits for the PCs on Mymms ward last week –
too much had been taken up by my large overdraft…
Tuesday Julie rang about 11am and said there was no cheque
in the morning post as promised by Npower… typical big power
corporation, I phoned about a dozen times, but as my mobile
credit soon rang out I tried various payphones, which either did
not work or my £2 change got wasted because they rang off
before I could put it in. Eventually I got through on a staff
office phone to be told the cheque would take ten whole days!
The Argent software had crashed when I installed it but when I
made a massively expensive mobile phone call to California the
sales guy briefly gave me misinformation. I only paid for credit
because I suddenly realised I had £20 on my only still working
credit card!
At 9.40am on Wednesday, unusually, which was a privilege, I
was first in the ward round. Where my CPN produced a long
list from a huge pile of notes of all the drug experiments I had
ever been subjected to – none of which had worked!!! I was to
be put on a ten-year old and very different tranquillizer instead
of 10 mg haloperidol tablets a day, i.e. 200mg amisulpride
twice a day morning and evening. Also from Thursday I was
given four hours’ leave a day. At 2pm Julie and I had a
meeting at the hospital for which Julie drove over, with Lindsay
the American trainee social worker who had been at the
sectioning, about which both of us, me in particular,
complained bitterly! Lindsay was very sympathetic...
In the afternoon perhaps the most attractive white nursing
assistant, called Anna, I had met for years was on duty, to be
so occasionally, even though she came from the Lister Hospital
as Stevenage - as she was half Italian, explaining her very
attractive features and gorgeous slim figure – even more
beautiful than my old combatant and friend ‘Diamond’ from my
book ‘Which Witch Doctor?’ That evening I tried downloading
Windows XP service pack 2 for PC #1 on the ward – and it
worked but only very slowly, but failed to complete overnight…
