Whereupon they offered to refund both their www.maam.org.uk and the previous www.silee.me.uk submission of weeks earlier – for the same reason! A partial refund indeed arrived in my account last Tuesday 28 th April – with $3 deducted in each case. I had emailed Dorrance Publishing at the weekend asking for another free review like for my ‘Scientific Proof’ book – but they emailed back, and while accepting the Manifesto for publication (if I just paid them £5,300 for the privilege!!!) there was no second review – they now claimed it was ‘one per author’. On my umpteenth phone call to Barclaycard credit card company today, asking yet again for a reply to my letter about writing off the balance on compassionate grounds, they now bluntly told me they did not have the time to reply to all letters – and anyway, their policy was not to write off balances! Why not say so ten phone calls earlier costing me about £15-£20? I then asked Citi cards for their fax number and faxed them the damn letter, again with no hope at all of any compassion! Indeed there is still no reply at all from them either! 370
Julie had her interview that Friday at the local home based in Ware, but they texted her later and turned her down for the job. I asked my father to put £30 in the bank for me to draw out here as I had no money; I bought some groceries and a £5 scratch card – and promptly won £40! On the Saturday I had a parcel of my own writing returned by one of the six agents I had written to the previous week. I discovered that on the Google search engine I was right up at #2 for ‘abolish all money’ but only bottom of page 7 (#69) for the much more popular search ‘abolish money’… I decided over the weekend I needed to take steps to improve on the latter search position… That same day, for instance, I ordered for £17.50 exactly per website, 1000 directory entries for both, from another Indian company, www.cheap-directorysubmission.com . Finally that Saturday, Julie received and filled in an application form for a ‘care – round the houses’ job like one she had already been given the job for – but based here in Ware, not ten or fifteen miles away in Cheshunt and Waltham Cross! Sunday I emailed an eighth agent yet to respond, and pottered around doing some SEO work on both web sites – on titles, keywords, and descriptions. This is just being reflected on the search engine results this weekend a week later, as we see. In particular I changed the title of the http://maam.org.uk site to be effectively ‘spammed’ on the words ‘abolish money’ to “Abolish Money! Abolish All Money! Manifesto”. A very quiet week indeed followed, notable for hundreds of emails from directories on the Web that had http://maam.org.uk submitted to them. Doubtless it will be the turn of http://silee.me.uk next week! I posted off the application form for a new driving licence with a cheque for £20, with a new photo as I had been advised their photo of me was nearly the maximum 10 years old – and if I sent that I would not be charged £20 again for a new photo-licence in January 2010. 371
