NO more relationships with 'girls next door'!; - after TWO in the 'Priory Street Posse'!

As we have just seen, Cygnet House and Jemima are now
encouraging ‘smoking cessation’ – stopping or greatly
reducing my smoking – but I would never cope with the
latter of those! My Doctor’s surgery offers 8-week giving
up courses, and I intend to go on one of those after Julie
and I both go on separate week’s holidays at the same
time in the beginning of September, me to my father, her
with her senior family to Penzance in Cornwall, with Rachel
barred because of the phone bill incident!
• Teeth! I had a check-up at the dentist with Mr Shah a
month ago, and as a follow-up had two fillings repaired,
one new filling, and my teeth cleaned, last Thursday.
• Nothing else wrong, so I am not due another MOT (e.g.
Mouth Open Taut like I told the dentist!) for a long time –
and hopefully I can avoid hospital for at least another 10
years!!!
• Restoring a firm friendship, but no chance allowed
by her of a relationship, with Julie. On winning my
Appeal and leaving hospital on Friday 30 th May, I had not
seen Julie at all since her outburst outside my flat on
Sunday 25 th May, after which she returned to work away
from home as a domiciliary care worker on Wednesday
28 th May, with no way I could contact her as I was
prevented at the time by her from knowing her address or
even her phone number. I remember feeling utterly
powerless, very hurt and isolated, and somewhat of a
eunuch as it were, because of this.
As a result I had quite a few tears of loss for the one time
flourishing love affair of July-October last year, in the next few
weeks. Until she returned and I could at least, I hoped,
salvage some kind of a friendship if not the original full
relationship. Since April 6 th Julie has been working for spells of
two or three weeks 24/7 in two private clients’ homes, mostly
recently a lady of her age called Caroline, who is very severely
disabled indeed and is in a wheelchair and has frequent dialysis
– and started off with bad bed sores till Julie started treating
them after half an hour of training in this.
