– and my picture. Again on Sunday, I called in to check that
Rachel liked her presents – but typical of her – she did not.
Monday 1 st December – Sunday 7 th December 2008.
I queued in the Post Office for all of half an hour today,
Monday, as a result, to post the boots and Rachel’s coat and
‘hoodie’ back to Littlewoods. Then as Julie’s 50 th birthday is on
the 13 th of this month – I bought her a ‘50’ card – to find it cost
over £3! Her boots arrived so she came round and collected
them tonight – as she actually liked them a lot! I had a dismal
realisation on top of the ongoing crisis of silence with
www.book-promotion.com – most of my apparent 45 a day on
average ‘visitors’ – 35 or so of them! – were not human but
software or ‘robots’ – leaving just 10 visits a day from ‘real’
visitors! To clarify the figures, I had turned off the worst
offender yesterday – Internet Seer – and the only other one I
could turn off I did so today as soon as I got its weekly report –
complete with ‘disable here’ link. I now expect to see 10-15
visits a day tomorrow onwards – far below the 34 average
required before www.book-promotion.com are forced by their
guarantee to offer a full refund even without the present
dispute. I had yet another phone call from 3 Mobile – their
debt collection agency this time – demanding money I would
not pay! I am getting fed up with explaining T3 Direct’s
problems over and over again every day! I now have all of
three ongoing financial irritations going on for months now, that
I wrote about two weeks ago but are still there: -
1. www.book-promotion.com and I are now involved in a
‘silent stand off’ and as there was mysteriously no reply to
my email to Paypal last week, I emailed them again,
hoping for some kind of swift resolution. I am in a strong
position but wish it was different. I have the web site
without them knowing how I got hold of it, and so have
not got to pay them any more money. They have my
original £198 payment and in principle, unless my visitor
figures improve drastically, owe me a refund of that too.
Currently, silence by them and Paypal = Stalemate!
