This Anna was on duty next morning also, and escorted me for
a blood test, saying she was 37 and very much single – with no
boyfriend despite being so attractive! This obviously puzzled
me greatly… An old man ‘Ronald’ visited in response to a
phone call - from nearby Hatfield MIND, who turned out to be
their computer expert. He sat in the quiet room and told me it
was not worth doing up the two PCs there much, as they were
being replaced ‘in a month’ with all of six new computers from
Dell, with a central hub and broadband. Afterwards I thought
‘there is neither the power nor the room for people once there
are all of six not two PC’s in that small room! Who will pay for
Dell to maintain them, for that is a Dell requirement!’ I left a
voicemail for this Ronald and told him what I thought about his
plans, politely but firmly pointing out the many problems. Met
Julie by bus in Hertford as arranged, went on a wild goose
chase of a shop in PC World in Harlow, got back home in a
traffic jam, so saw the cat for the first time in two weeks, for
Julie had been looking after her for me. Got back to the (god)
helpusall and slept from 12.30pm to 12pm on Friday afternoon!
Between 1pm and 3pm I took the printer back to Comet, and
paid a £4 restocking fee on the refund of £36, but they would
not take back the cable I had bought there at the same time
last week - as I had thrown away the flimsy packaging! When I
got back to the ward someone had moved around the
computers - so I finally had somebody interested in one or both
over the next few weeks. Then I saw outside A&E my old
girlfriend Glenda, who had two eighteen year old twins she
said, one of whom was about to have a very painful labour -
she told me later that evening when I saw her outside again!
On Saturday at 9.10am I got the bus home, and ordered
another edition of my book from www.lulu.com - I emailed
Zygon, for Julie had sent off for me a paper for them two weeks
earlier by very expensive airmail costing over £7. They were to
call me back as requested the following week while I happened
to be on a bus in Hatfield! Yes, their Debra told me then, the
paper had arrived – but it would take nine whole MONTHS to
review – should Dr Hefner, their editor, approve the abstract! I
was getting nowhere with speedy responses from Journals –
