NO more relationships with 'girls next door'!; - after TWO in the 'Priory Street Posse'!

The website appeared in black on pale blue that day – and
stayed that way. Just right for such a ‘spiritual’ book! I
phoned 3 Mobile as requested after my abortive trip to Harlow
on Saturday, and they called me back and said, ‘Yes! We too
were “number one in the queue” – for all of 25 minutes – when
we called T3 Direct!’ They gave me an email address, but the
long email I composed to T Direct, not surprisingly with them
having an impenetrable phone number for customer care, just
bounced! Eventually, completely exasperated by this
anonymous company in the extreme, unable to ring them as
they insisted to get returns numbers, I posted back at great
expense - £6+ - the mobile phone and what they called the
expensive ‘dongle’. Then I went to the bank and cancelled all
direct debits that I did not recognise, that might have been
applied during the recent awful stress of this fiasco. There
were all of four such direct debits… In the mess, I left my
spectacles at the bank, but luckily they were handed in and I
collected them on Wednesday.
When I called Manuela three times on Tuesday, she was
starting the press releases that evening or on the Wednesday.
There was heavy snow when I went out that night, very
unusual in this part of the world as early as October, which
lingered to the next morning. Julie had not worked in three
weeks, and after her direct debits went out Saturday (brought
forward from Monday by the bank we share) she would be
broke – and glad to work for a week next week. I had
persuaded her, fortunately, not to pay all her rent the previous
week, but to keep some money back.
On Wednesday when I called Manuela, the press releases were
indeed being sent out by her, but my purpose in the call was to
point out some typos on the reviews and interview pages of the
web site. “Fix those and the web site will be perfect as far as I
am concerned until we can put the bookshop links back later” I
said. I rang 3 Mobile yet again but they said they could not
cancel the contracts for the two pieces of mobile equipment –
