NO more relationships with 'girls next door'!; - after TWO in the 'Priory Street Posse'!

Amazon refused – so I filled in all the same forms over again –
and just today they have put all my descriptive material on the
page for my book, at the UK Amazon site. So all bookshops –
both Amazon in the USA and UK – and Barnes and Noble – all
show the book perfectly at last! I went to the local library and
asked for a list of all local newspapers and radio stations in the
area, on Tuesday. This was strongly suggested by www.bookpromotion.com
in fact. Eventually after they put me onto the
Central Resource Library for the County based in Hatfield, they
simply directed me to a website the local librarian should have
thought of – www.hertsdirect.org – the Herts County Council
website. I emailed a 2MB package of material to 20 local
newspapers and the 10 local radio stations that actually gave
email addresses. However only one – that wanted to charge
me for an advert – has rung back in the week since – and there
have been no email replies.
On Wednesday I turned on my PC and that was the first news I
had that the previous day there had been 68 visitors to my web
site! I went down to the Mind club and showed off the site to
Trevis, an unusually named lady fellow member, and when I
showed her the graph for visitors suddenly lifting off after two
flat weeks of virtually no visitors, her reaction was to laugh –
and an unladylike ‘wallop’! All I did the rest of that day back
home, was print off 20 postcards from the artwork by Kumar’s
team, and post them to friends.
On Thursday the number of unique visitors was up dramatically
again to 97! I rang Manuela about: -
• The fact they had started getting vastly more than the
average 36 visitors/day to achieve their target of 5000
visitors in the first 150 days. Well done!
• Could I pay £33 a month for six months into their Nat
West bank account as cash rather than by standing order?
• When she had sewn up her marketing, could I have a
report?
• Could they hand over the web site soon?
A very quiet day in my diary. I just posted off a final 7
postcards!
