top and bottom of that text. The third page was a near copy of
my “author’s info” page as already at www.silee.me.uk . I did
a free submission to nearly 100 search engines – of course
including Google worldwide - using the facility for that built into
the ‘Web CEO’ package I had obtained free before. Then I paid
for an ostensibly much larger submission from
www.websquash.com as before – this was supposed to be to all
of 36,000 search engines and directories – to start early next
week. Finally I added links between each web site
http://silee.me.uk and http://maam.org.uk to the other, to
encourage cross-fertilisation of visitors! All this looked great –
then Julie called me to say at length that we were ‘totally
incompatible’ and the relationship was finally over! What a
downer after struggling with a monster infection to achieve so
very much this last two weeks!
Monday 20 th April – Bank Holiday Sunday 3 rd May 2009.
Another quite quiet two weeks followed. I was awoken on
Monday 20 th by a phone call from my Internet Service Provider
telling me what I already knew – my renewal of my
http://silee.me.uk domain following actually paying for starting
up http://maam.org.uk , the latter on a promotional basis for
three months, that weekend, still needed paying for. I told the
guy on the phone to re-charge my card that Wednesday, which
he duly did. I emailed www.websquash.com with no reply at all
several times that day, and eventually emailed their cashier
World Bank about this ‘deafening silence’ as I called it. Apart
from ten minutes with James, my social worker, that afternoon,
it was a very quiet day according to my diary.
Tuesday by contrast turned out to be a busy day for medical
affairs. I saw my podiatrist at 2.40pm, started coughing so
much on the way home that I nearly vomited, and realised I
had put up with a really vicious infection of a cold for a whole
week without seeing a Doctor – so managed to get in to see
one half an hour later when I called in at the surgery. First I
had made a dental appointment for Tuesday 5 th May as I had
lost a large filling a second time in the same tooth. At the
Doctor’s the Lady Doctor examined my chest and said it was
completely clear, but prescribed a week of amoxicillin
antibiotics for a probable sinus infection. Even once my week
