get wise comment on that. Secondly, I am now aware of a new
objection in the critique form to the sheer size of ‘Doctor
Police!’ at 700 pages and a massive 390,000 words. It is
literally three times bigger than what the critique company
recommend in that form, as a maximum for a novel, or such an
autobiography that resembles a novel! A far older objection of
mine that I have never had the time, inclination or money to
correct, is the ‘Baskerville Old Face’ font in 12 point in A4, that
looks a bit, well, pokey in the final reduced Royal published
size. The present book is, in A4, laid out in the far clearer and
bigger Verdana 14 point, which reduces to about 11 point in
Royal – far easier to read. I would now like to standardise on
making ‘Doctor Police!’ in its present massive, cumbersome
form into not one, but three roughly 300+ page books. A quick
reminder skim told me yesterday that it will readily break down
into ‘Disabled by Doctors’ – an account of 2002-2004; ‘The Four
Helens of the Apocalypse’ – about Helen-Marie; and finally the
last third kept as ‘Doctor Police!’ Particularly as it holds most
references to the police! In fact I will be standardising on
Verdana as in this book and ‘Scientific Proof’ as the chosen font
for all my books. My final change will be one I have introduced
these last two days in this diary. Previously in this book and
‘Doctor Police!’ in these diary sections, I had one great long
paragraph per whole week – or even two! Now I will have
white space paragraph breaks, at least one, for each day.
So, for the next few days or a week or so, I will be carrying out
a large scale revision of all the five (was three) books in this
series. To the font and layout at least – I will leave most of the
criticism of the content to my new agent in a couple of weeks.
Also, for the first time in a long time, I have quite a few dates
of note to look forward to in the next few weeks: -

manuscript in its present published form – otherwise there may
be problems! Ring up the new credit card company if they
