week, it was a big disappointment that there was no other
interest in my book launch from a total of 28 press and
radio station outlets!
10. I had applied for my driving licence back – back in
June – and was to be told that some forms were sent to
my Consultant at Cygnet House early in December, but
had not been received back by the DVLA by Christmas…
On Wednesday morning I got a nice little surprise – a credit of
£21.67 from the IET in my bank account. A phone call revealed
this was a ‘top up’ of £5 a week for November, and they would
be paying it every month from now on – bringing my total
pensions/grants from the IET to £175.00 a month from
November! I emailed Lulu Press Inc and finally accused them
of ignoring my requests for a refund – for several months! I
also had a letter from my Doctor – a copy of a letter referring
me to the head podiatrist at Harlow Hospital. As we will see,
they took swift action in response within weeks…
Thursday continued quiet but there was finally an immediate
response from Lulu. They acted as promised, had refunded
£16 to my bank account in days, and on Christmas Eve I finally
got a further £28+ from my Paypal account into my bank
account. The total refund of £44+ was about right, so ending
after months of wrangling and fishing out order numbers, issue
3 above! That evening, fed up with Book Promotion ltd and the
ongoing poor performance of my web site, I inspected ‘PhD for
published works’ on Google on my PC, and found that Bolton,
Sunderland, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire Universities
all offered such a degree – but the fees were prohibitive!
The weekend was extremely quiet. I telephoned T3 Direct
having posted my letter with reference from 3 Mobile Debt
Collection Agency on Wednesday to them – but was told to ring
back on Monday.
