Handy Ice-Shaving Device
With this new ice shaver it is possible to cut
ice into a cylindrical container without dis
turbing any of the various dishes which may
rest in the icebox. The cylindrical receptacle
has blades on its bottom portion projecting
down through slots which scoop ice into the
receptacle as the crank is turned. A drill
point on the lower end of the shaft, which ex
tends down through the receptacle, keeps the
device from slipping from the place where thi
shaving is begun. The crank shaft is detach
able from the shaving receptacle. This makes
it handier to carry the shaved ice to the point
of use.
