A DEVICE to save the need of cluttering
up the top of the desk when assorting
correspondence or doing similar
work has a metal base with metal sheets
radiating in such a manner that from
eight to twenty compartments for the
different lots are provided. The distributor
rests on one corner of the desk
so that only a fraction of the top is
required. The radial arrangement enables
the user to have ready and easy
access to any paper he needs, and at the
same time does not offer the difficulties
encountered with baskets or trays. The
radial plates may be removed or inserted
as needed.

AUTOMATIC SPRING-OILING
PAD
JUST a little pad in this new oiler does
the work of oiling the springs auto­
matically. It is a felt pad with an oil
reservoir contained in a rustproof metal
case. This case snaps over the main leaf
of spring. The case is constructed so

that different degrees of pressure are
brought to bear on the felt pad, making
the ends perfectly tight and oil proof.
When pressure is put on the sides of the
felt, a very slow seepage of oil is allowed,
and this fills the grooves along
the entire side and underneath the surface
of the spring leaves.
The oilers are made to fit all cars.
STRANGE LAWN CHAIR
LJERE is a type of lawn chair that only
a Zuni Indian or a boy under twelve
would have thought of. The essential
thing about it is that it is comfortable.
It will be noted first of all that the knees
are brought up closer to the chin than
would be considered good form in the
drawing room. Also that the back has a
very tempting slope. As a consequence,
the weight of the body is distributed
from knees to shoulders. Wide arm rests
complete all the requisites for an enticing
lounge. This chair is manufactured
by an enterprising New York concern.
A SUITCASE TABLE
A CONVENIENT and useful suitcase
for travelers and those camping out
is one which may be used as a table,
recently invented by A. Eades of California.
This suitcase comprises three
compartments, each in the form of a
complete case and provided with a
