In Spite of Handicaps
Little Ethel Toussaint was one of the victims
of the great infantile paralysis scourge. She
can do nothing with her poor, shrunken hands,
yet because she possesses an indomitable spirit
she refuses to give up. She follows her desire
to be an artist by drawing pencil pictures all
day long, with the pencil gripped between
her teeth.
The Smallest Electric Auto
Master Vernon Roberts, whose father is an
officer of the Cunard line, is the owner of the
smallest electric auto
known. This auto is reconstructed
from a regular
pushmobile, the electric
apparatus and engines
having been installed by
mechanics employed by the
Cunard line at pier at 14th
Sheet and Hudson River,
New York. Master Roberts
thoroughly enjoys this auto
and has learned to run it
quite as handily as most
professional chauffeurs
manage its big brothers.
