Each of these people in the ecosystem plays a very vital role in the fishingsystem and the overall culture of the fishing industry. They become important to each other and supporteach other to form the strongest institution in the region. Understanding the social system becomes veryimportant to establish the contextual and institutional aspects concerning the social setting in which theinnovation would be diffused.We would now elaborate briefly on the people who influence the diffusion of the innovation underdiscussion. The stakeholders who have a minimal role in the diffusion of the innovation have been limitedin the brief provided.FishermenThe Fishermen are the class of people who have been into the fishing process and who go out to the sea tocatch the fish. The fisherman is the prime member of the society who does the majority of hard labor andthe key adopter of the innovation. People in the fishing community largely use the motorized small boatsto go for fishing, usually in groups of two or three. They are mostly family members, who go for fishingtogether as they can keep the income for themselves. Father would have his sons accompanying him to thesea for fishing or brothers join together for the job. It‘s very common that most families have a boat oftheir own through government subsidies.The catch that a fisherman can get on a day is not very consistent, they may have good days but mostly thecatch remains marginal for their survival.
