4 Select Acknowledge from the menu.<br />

The device state change is acknowledged. The device is removed from the State Change<br />

Acknowledgement monitor report.<br />

Accessing a remote desktop to view and manage devices<br />

<strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> provides a right-click menu link to the Remote Desktop/Terminal Services<br />

client that allows you to connect to devices remotely. If the client is installed on the <strong>WhatsUp</strong><br />

<strong>Gold</strong> computer, and the Remote Desktop/Terminal Services is installed and activated on the<br />

device you want to connect to, you are prompted for the user name and password for that<br />

device.<br />

This application allows you to access and troubleshoot device and monitor issues that<br />

<strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> identifies.<br />

Note: Remote desktop access is browser dependent, some web browsers do not support this<br />

feature. For more information about the remote desktop feature, see the help for the remote<br />

desktop client.<br />

To connect to a remote desktop:<br />

1 Click the Device tab, then click Devices. The Device page appears.<br />

2 From the Details or Map View, right-click a device, then click Remote Desktop. The<br />

Remote Desktop Connection dialog appears.<br />
