Threshold: CPU Utilization<br />

Home Displays the value for performance monitors on devices over,<br />

under or equal to a configured threshold value.<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays the top devices based on their current CPU<br />

utilization percentage thresholds. Placing this dashboard report in a dashboard allows you to<br />

keep tabs on crucial devices and their current CPU load by glancing at the colors associated<br />

with each percentage level:<br />

Red. Above 90%<br />

Yellow. Between 80% and 90%<br />

Green. 80% or less<br />

Each entry in the report contains the following information:<br />

Device. The network device.<br />

Description. The description of the device.<br />

CPU Load. The percentage of the CPU currently in use.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Device group. Choose a device group for monitoring. Select Every device to select<br />

all devices regardless of their subgroups.<br />

Threshold. Enter a number for the threshold and select a threshold criteria symbol<br />

from the list.<br />

Maximum rows to return. Enter the number of records to display in the dashboard<br />

report.<br />

Column 2 width. Enter a width for the Description column (in pixels).<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />
