Top 10: Ping Availability<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays the top devices in a group based on their ping<br />

availability percentages. Placing this dashboard report in a dashboard allows you to keep<br />

tabs on crucial devices by glancing at each device's current ping availability percentage level.<br />

Device. The network device.<br />

Interface. The network interface.<br />

Polled Min. Amount of total time (in minutes) that passed during the time period<br />

selected in the Ping Availability (on page 650) report.<br />

Unavailable. Amount of total time (in minutes) that the device was unavailable in the<br />

group.<br />

Percent Available. The total availability percentage for the device.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Device group. Select a device group by clicking the Browse (...) button. Select Every<br />

device to select all devices regardless of their subgroups.<br />

Maximum rows to return. Enter the number of records you would like displayed in<br />

the dashboard report.<br />

Column 2 width. Enter a width for the column (in pixels).<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />

Top 10: Ping Packet Loss<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays the top devices in a group based on their ping<br />

packet loss percentages at the time of the last poll. Placing this dashboard report in a<br />

dashboard allows you to keep tabs on crucial devices by glancing at the colors associated<br />

with each packet loss percentage level:<br />

Red. Above 90%<br />

Yellow. Between 80% and 90%<br />

Green. 80% or less<br />

Each entry in the report contains the following information:<br />

Device. The network device.<br />

Interface. The network interface.<br />

Sent. The number of packets sent.<br />

Lost. The number of packets lost.<br />

% Loss. The percentage of sent packets that have been lost.<br />
