<strong>Ipswitch</strong> <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Guide</strong><br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information in the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report. This name appears in the title bar<br />

of the dashboard report pane.<br />

Remote site. Select a Remote Site for the report from the list.<br />

Note: The Remote Sites in this list are populated on the <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> console at<br />

Configure > Program Options > Central Site Configuration.<br />

Maximum number of Items to display. Enter the number of individual items within<br />

the category you want to display in the hostname report. The report will display the<br />

top values based on the sort option selected in Display and Sort by. All other items in<br />

the category are included in the 'Others' category, and will be displayed when Include<br />

'Others' is selected.<br />

Column 2 width. Enter a width for the column in pixels.<br />

Column 3 width. Enter a width for the Payload column in pixels.<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />

Remote Reports: Top 10 Ping Response Time<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays the top devices in a group from a Remote Site,<br />

based on their ping response times. Placing this dashboard report in a dashboard allows you<br />

to keep tabs on crucial devices and their current ping response times by glancing at each<br />

device's Max and Avg columns. For more information, see Using the Remote/Central<br />

dashboard reports.<br />

Each entry in the report contains the following information:<br />

Remote Site. The remote server for which the report is configured.<br />

Last snapshot. The time the "snapshot" displayed in this report was taken from the<br />

Remote Site.<br />

Device. The network device.<br />

Interface. The network interface.<br />

Avg (ms). The average response time in milliseconds.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />
