General: SNMP Details<br />

This device-level dashboard report displays a device's SNMP details. You can use this<br />

dashboard report to display a variety of device-specific SNMP details to assist in monitoring<br />

important devices. For example, you can use it to monitor how long a device has been up and<br />

to pin-point its down time.<br />

Click on the device to bring up its Device Status Report.<br />

Property. The OID label.<br />

Value. The information returned from the poll.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report. This name appears in the title bar<br />

of the dashboard report's pane.<br />

Device. Select a device for the report by clicking the browse (...) button.<br />

Click Add to add another OID to the SNMP value list from the MIB Browser.<br />

Select an existing OID, then click Edit to make a change.<br />

Select an existing OID, then click Remove to delete it from the list.<br />

Move an OID up or down the list by selecting it and clicking either Move Up or<br />

Move Down.<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />

General: Device Status<br />

The Device Status dashboard report displays a snapshot of a specific device. You can change<br />

the device-in-context, but the dashboard reports within the Device Status Dashboard remain<br />

the same. The Device Status dashboard report displays the following information for a device:<br />

Display name. The name that displays in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> for the device.<br />

Device type. The type of device.<br />

Host name. The host name for the device.<br />

Address. The address of the device.<br />

Active Monitors. A list of any active monitors applied to the device and their current state.<br />

Attributes. Any additional information about the device.<br />

Group membership. The <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> groups to which the device belongs.<br />
