Problem Areas: Devices with Down Critical Monitors<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays devices with down critical monitors for a specified<br />

device group. Adding this dashboard report to a dashboard allows you to easily keep-up with<br />

your network's status by showing you which devices are down, and the status of critical<br />

monitors.<br />

Device. The network device.<br />

Status. The status of device's critical monitor after the last poll.<br />

You can maximize your screen real-estate by limiting the number of rows displayed in the<br />

report or shortening the width of the Status column.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Device group. Select a device group by clicking the Browse (...) button. Select Every<br />

device to select all devices regardless of their subgroups.<br />

Maximum rows to return. Enter the number of records to display in the dashboard<br />

report.<br />

Column 2 width. Enter a width for column 2 (in pixels).<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />

Problem Areas: General Error Log<br />

This dashboard report displays any error received by <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>. Displaying this<br />

dashboard report within a dashboard view helps you keep tabs on all of your network errors.<br />

This dashboard report includes the following fields:<br />

Date. The date the error took place.<br />

Category. The type of error.<br />

Source. Where the error originated.<br />

Details. The details of the error.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Maximum rows to return. Enter the number of records you would like displayed in<br />

the dashboard report.<br />

Column 4 width. Enter a width for column 4 (in pixels).<br />
