Device Viewer - VLAN Information<br />

VLAN Information displays the following information.<br />

Index. The VLAN index.<br />

Name. The VLAN name.<br />

Egress Ports. The bridge ports that are forwarding traffic for this VLAN. The VLAN<br />

traffic is transmitted as TAGGED or ENCAPSULATED unless indicated in Untagged<br />

Ports.<br />

Untagged Ports. The bridge ports that are forwarding traffic from this VLAN. The<br />

VLAN traffic will be transmitted “in the clear” or UNTAGGED on these bridge ports.<br />

Note: By default, the proceeding columns are not shown.<br />

Dot1q Index. This field indicates if the Dot1q VLAN index differs from the base VLAN<br />

Index.<br />

Forbidden Ports. The bridge ports that are not allowed to forward this VLAN.<br />

Subnet. Subnet that was discovered/associated with this VLAN.<br />

Device Viewer - Asset Information<br />

Asset Information displays the following information.<br />

Index. A unique index for this asset entry.<br />

Class. The physical class that describes this component (i.e. chassis, module, port,<br />

fan).<br />

Name. The name of the physical component.<br />

Description. The manufacturer's description of the physical component.<br />

Manufacturer. The name of the manufacturer.<br />

Model. The model name for the physical component.<br />

Serial Number. The serial number for the physical component.<br />

Hardware Version. The hardware revision for the physical component.<br />

Firmware Version. The firmware revision for the physical component.<br />

Software Version. The software version the physical component.<br />

Port Count. The port count of the component (if it is a switch/switch module).<br />

Note: The data that is associated with the physical components of the device can be most<br />

effectively described by the Entity constructs defined in the ENTITY MIB. Therefore, there are<br />

a number of columns not normally shown that relate directly back to the ENTITY MIB entries.<br />

These columns are shown as follows:<br />

Physical Index. The Entity MIB index.<br />

Switch Index. In the case of a stacked switch, the switch index in the stack.<br />
