Threshold: Custom Performance Monitor<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays the top devices based on a selected custom WMI<br />

or SNMP performance monitor.<br />

The top of the report displays the name of the selected custom performance monitor and to<br />

which device group the report applies.<br />

Each entry in the report contains the following information:<br />

Device. The monitored network device.<br />

Value. The value returned from the custom performance monitor.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2. Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Device group. Choose a device group for monitoring. Select Every device to select<br />

all devices regardless of their subgroups.<br />

Performance monitor. Choose a performance monitor from the drop-down menu. If<br />

there are no performance monitors listed in the drop-down menu, you must first<br />

configure a custom WMI or SNMP performance monitor from the Performance<br />

Monitor Library.<br />

Threshold. Enter a number for the threshold and select a threshold criteria from the<br />

separate list.<br />

Maximum rows to return. Enter the number of records to display in the dashboard<br />

report.<br />

3. Click OK to save the changes.<br />
