Last Polled CPU Utilization (Single Device)<br />

This device-level dashboard report displays current CPU utilization percentages for all CPUs<br />

on a selected device. Displaying this dashboard report in a device dashboard allows you to<br />

monitor the CPU(s) of an important device to watch for spikes in CPU utilization. The report<br />

shows:<br />

Description. The particular CPU.<br />

CPU Load. The percentage of the CPU currently in use. The colors displayed in the<br />

CPU Load column coincide with the <strong>WhatsUp</strong> threshold colors:<br />

Red. Above 90%<br />

Yellow. Between 80% and 90%<br />

Green. 80% or less<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Device. Select a device by clicking the browse (...) button.<br />

To view a graphical representation of the report data, select Use a graph to display<br />

the values.<br />

If you select the above option, select the Graph type with which report data will be<br />

displayed. To learn about the various types of graphs available, please see Graph<br />

Types. (on page 610)<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />

Top 10: CPU Utilization<br />

This home-level dashboard report displays the top devices based on their current CPU<br />

utilization percentages. Placing this dashboard report in a dashboard allows you to keep tabs<br />

on crucial devices and their current CPU load. Report percentages are displayed in colors that<br />

represent the CPU utilization thresholds:<br />

Red. Above 90%<br />

Yellow. Above 80%<br />

Green. 80% or less<br />

Each entry in the report contains the following information:<br />

Device. The network device.<br />

CPU. The device CPU description.<br />

CPU Load. The percentage of CPU currently in use.<br />
