Note: In order for entries to be added to this report, the SNMP Trap listener must be enabled<br />

and an SNMP Trap passive monitor must be added to the device. For more information, see<br />

Enabling the SNMP Trap Listener (on page 873).<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Report name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Maximum rows to return. Enter the number of rows you would like displayed in the<br />

report.<br />

Column 2 width. Enter a width for the Device column (in pixels).<br />

Column 4 width. Enter a width for the Payload column (in pixels).<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />

Problem Areas Specific Device: Tail of State Change Log<br />

This device-level dashboard report shows the tail (last 10 records) from the State Change<br />

Timeline for a specified device. Placing this dashboard report in a device dashboard can<br />

visualize a device's monitor health and help ease the task monitoring crucial devices. For<br />

more information, the dashboard report is linked to the full State Change Log, which shows a<br />

time line of when each monitor on a device changed from one state to another during the<br />

displayed time period.<br />

Start time. The date and time of the state change. Click on a time to bring up the<br />

Device List.<br />

Device. The device the action is configured on. Click on a device to bring up the<br />

Device Status dashboard.<br />

Monitor. The active monitor by type.<br />

State. The state of the condition at the time of the poll. Click on a state to bring up<br />

the State Change Timeline.<br />

To configure this dashboard report in <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong>:<br />

1 In the title bar of the dashboard report pane, select Menu > Configure. The Configure<br />

Report dialog appears.<br />

2 Enter or select the appropriate information for the following fields.<br />

Name. Enter a title for the dashboard report.<br />

Top count. Enter the number of records you would like displayed in the dashboard<br />

report.<br />

Column 2 width. Enter a width for the Device column (in pixels).<br />

3 Click OK to save changes.<br />
