<strong>Ipswitch</strong> <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Guide</strong><br />

<strong>User</strong>name. The username <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> should use to authenticate.<br />

Password. The password <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> should use to authenticate.<br />

Use an encrypted connection. Select this option if the SMTP server requires an<br />

encrypted connection.<br />

8 Click Schedule.<br />

9 Enter a name for the report.<br />

10 Select Disable this schedule if you want to prevent <strong>WhatsUp</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> from running and<br />

sending scheduled reports.<br />

11 In the Send email section, make the following selections:<br />

Interval<br />

Start Time<br />

12 Complete the settings in the box that display after you make your interval selection.<br />

These options change according to the Interval selection.<br />

13 Click OK to save your scheduled report.<br />

Exporting reports and logs<br />

Tip: In some cases, exported reports show more detailed data than that of the data displayed<br />

in the report in the web interface. For example, an exported Excel report may contain more<br />

data columns, or a floating data point with higher precision.<br />

To export to text format:<br />

1 Open the report you want to export.<br />

2 Click Export.<br />

3 Select Export to Text.<br />

4 Clear or select the following options:<br />

Include report title<br />

Include column names<br />

5 Select an option from the Column delimiter menu.<br />

6 Select an option from the Text qualifier menu.<br />

7 Click OK to export the report to a text file.<br />

To export to Microsoft Excel format:<br />

1 Open the report you want to export.<br />

2 Click Export.<br />

3 Select Export to Excel.<br />

4 Clear or select the following options:<br />

Include report title<br />

Include column names<br />

5 Click OK to export the report in Excel format.<br />
