Saurogobio and Rh<strong>in</strong>ogobio are <strong>in</strong>dicated as two new genera from <strong>the</strong><br />

'Yantsekiang by Bleeker, Vers! & Meded. Ak. Amsterd. iv. 1870, p. 253.<br />

They are allied to Pseudogobio ; but <strong>the</strong> former has <strong>the</strong> dorsal f<strong>in</strong> entirely <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> anterior half of <strong>the</strong> body, <strong>the</strong> caudal not <strong>in</strong>cluded, and uniserial pharyngeal<br />

teeth. Rh<strong>in</strong>ogobio has a long snout, small <strong>in</strong>ferior mouth, &c. Species<br />

not described.<br />

Rhodeus, but has a strong sp<strong>in</strong>e <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> dorsal and anal f<strong>in</strong>s. Species not<br />

described.<br />

Danio, Perilampus malabaricus (Jerd.) is <strong>the</strong> male, and Perilampus canarensis<br />

(Jerd.) <strong>the</strong> female of <strong>the</strong> same species, which is identical with D.<br />

micronema, Blkr. [?]. Day, I. c. p. 374.<br />

Pseudobrama and Luciobrama are <strong>in</strong>dicated as two new genera from <strong>the</strong><br />

Yantsekiang by Bleeker, I. c. p. 253. They are allied to Acanthobrama, <strong>the</strong><br />

former genus hav<strong>in</strong>g uniserial pharyngeal teeth, but large scales and a short<br />

anal f<strong>in</strong>. Luciobrama is elongate, has small scales, and uniserial awl-shaped<br />

pharyngeal teeth. Species not described.<br />

Nemachilus. Platacanthus maculatus (see Zool. Record, iv. p. 174) is considered<br />
