This work is cont<strong>in</strong>ued <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> same clear style as that <strong>in</strong><br />

which it was commenced {cf. Zool. Rec. vi. p. 30). The four<br />

parts under consideration refer pr<strong>in</strong>cipally to <strong>the</strong> muscles, <strong>the</strong><br />

dissertation on which is <strong>in</strong>troduced by a good account of <strong>the</strong><br />

literature relat<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong>se structures. The plates are carefully<br />

drawn, and those illustrat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> muscles, be<strong>in</strong>g partially<br />

coloured, are especially <strong>in</strong>structive. [See also
