<strong>the</strong> orders Diptera and Hymenoptera upon Galleruca xanthomelcena (ccdmariensis).<br />

ROMANES (Ent. 78, p. 98) notes <strong>the</strong> occurrence of vast numbers of a sp.<br />

of Galleruca on <strong>the</strong> surface of <strong>the</strong> sea on <strong>the</strong> coasts of Moray and Cromarty,<br />

<strong>in</strong> May 1870.<br />

Haltica chalybea, III, is figured <strong>in</strong> its chief stages, and an account of its<br />

BURMEISTER (S. E. Z. xxxi. pp. 273-281) describes <strong>the</strong> species of Cassidides<br />

occurr<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> R. Plate district, and makes numerous observations,<br />

chiefly as to localities, on certa<strong>in</strong> spp. attributed to <strong>the</strong> same district by<br />

Boheman.<br />

As to this generic name, cf. Zool. Rec. vi. p. 298. There is also &<br />

Diacantha (Solier) <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Elateridce.<br />
