Asidides.<br />

Asida rugosa (F.), changed to fabricii by Allard, on account of rugosa<br />

(Eourc, 1785), need not have been altered on <strong>the</strong> date alone, as Fabricius's<br />

orig<strong>in</strong>al description appeared <strong>in</strong> 1775; sabulosa (Goeze, 1777) would have<br />

had priority over Fourcroy if change required: v. HAROLD (Pet. Nouv. 16,<br />

p. 61).<br />

Asida morbillosa (Dufts. nee F.) is changed to duftschmidi by Gemm<strong>in</strong>ger,<br />

C. H. vi. p. 122.<br />

Pycnomorpha, g. n. Mots, Bull. Mose xliii. p. 398. Resembles Stenomorpha,<br />

Sol, but has a transverse labrum, more obtuse mandibles, a less<br />

project<strong>in</strong>g ligula, unclo<strong>the</strong>d legs, elytra car<strong>in</strong>ated towards <strong>the</strong> sides, and prom<strong>in</strong>ent<br />

thorax. Sp. P. californiea (Mots.) and ? Scotera gibbosa (Esch,<br />

Dej. Cat.).<br />

Psilomera, g. n. Mots. I. c. p. 400. Differs from Pelecyphorus <strong>in</strong> its narrow<br />
