Boarellafiabellata, gen. et sp. nov., Gray (I. c. p. 406). Coral branched <strong>in</strong><br />

a plane, fan-shaped, form<strong>in</strong>g an oblong frond with a s<strong>in</strong>gle stem; branches<br />

and branchlets slender, nearly of <strong>the</strong> same diameter, netted; branches diverg<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and often <strong>in</strong>osculat<strong>in</strong>g, some of <strong>the</strong> marg<strong>in</strong>al branchlets free. Bark<br />

th<strong>in</strong>, formed of th<strong>in</strong> scales or spicules. Polyp-cells subcyl<strong>in</strong>drical, elongate,<br />

truncate, membranaceous, translucent, with a circular mouth with 10 marg<strong>in</strong>al<br />

folds and 10 short valves <strong>in</strong> an irregular series on each side of <strong>the</strong><br />

branches, diverg<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> different directions, one, sometimes two or three<br />

toge<strong>the</strong>r. Axis cont<strong>in</strong>uous, horny. British Museum. Locality unknown.<br />

Bovella ramulosa, gen. et sp. nov., Gray (/. e. p. 407). Coral branched,<br />

fan-shaped, expanded <strong>in</strong>to an oblong frond; stem simple; branches and<br />

branchlets slender, of <strong>the</strong> same diameter throughout, branches radiat<strong>in</strong>g and<br />

irregularly furcately divided, with abundance of short branchlets arranged<br />

ra<strong>the</strong>r p<strong>in</strong>nately and diverg<strong>in</strong>g at nearly right angles, form<strong>in</strong>g a more or less<br />

regular network; many of <strong>the</strong> branchlets, especially <strong>the</strong> marg<strong>in</strong>al ones, free.<br />

Bark furfuraceous, formed of very small soft spicules or th<strong>in</strong> scales. Polypcells<br />

circidar, prom<strong>in</strong>ent, with a sunken centre and a furfuraceous surface,
