head; <strong>the</strong> latter, like M.fiavifrons, but hav<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> lores and nape yellow,<br />

Melanerpes pulcher is a new species from Bogota, allied to M. chrysauchen<br />

Micropternus holroydi is a new species from Ha<strong>in</strong>an, nearly allied to M.<br />
