following known species of this genus:—Z. chrysaor, Trim.; Z. thysbe, Linn.;
racepalmus, Cram.; Z. thyra, Linn. (Chrysorychia thyra, Wallengr., probably
= Z. chrysaor, $ ) ; Z. pierus, Cram. (=Pap. suetonius, Fabr., = Nais almeida,
Feld.: the latter insect is quite distinct from Z. nycetus, Cram.); Z. aranda,
Wallengr.; Z. leroma, Wallengr.; and Z. basuta, Wallengr.: Z. leroma is
figured I. c. pi 6. f. 10.
Polyommatus alciphron, Rott. Greek specimens are intermediate between
this species and P. gordius, Esp. [Sulz.]. Staudinger, Hor. Ent. Ross. vii.
