paniceum <strong>in</strong> Corsica [England might have been substituted with equal correctness<br />

as <strong>the</strong> locality].<br />

DUNNING (Pr. E. Soc. 1870, p. xxxiii) records <strong>the</strong> larva and imago of Anobium<br />

paniceum as devour<strong>in</strong>g Cayenne pepper.<br />

The larva of Anobium paniceum is recorded as <strong>in</strong>jurious to tea, particularly<br />

scented orange Pekoe: Ent. 82, p. 162.<br />
