The follow<strong>in</strong>g known species of this family are described by Boisduval,<br />

Lep. Guat. pp. 18-26:—Eryc<strong>in</strong>a <strong>in</strong>ca, Saund.; Eurybia lycisca, D. & H.;<br />

Diophthalma vestalis, Bates; Hades noctula, Westw. He remarks on several<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r known species, and proposes <strong>the</strong> name Nelone for typical Emesis, Fabr.<br />

He suggests that Desmozona belise, Cram., and Molela, Hew., may form a<br />

separate genus.<br />

Mesosemia. Hewitson (Exot. Butt. 74, pis. 9, 10) figures <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g<br />

known species:—M. marsena, M. marsidia, M. reba, M. zorea, M. latifaseiata,<br />

M. loruhama, M. ama, M. adida, M. mehida, M. zikla, M. ozora.<br />

Euryyona. Hewitson (Exot. Butt. 76, pi. 9) figures <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g<br />

known species:—E. erythraa, E. effima, E. bett<strong>in</strong>a, E. onorata, E. praelara,<br />

E. a<strong>the</strong>na.<br />

HEWITSON (Equat. Lep. pp. 55-58) describes four new genera of Eryc<strong>in</strong>ida,<br />

each founded on a s<strong>in</strong>gle new species from Ecuador, at too great length<br />

to allow of <strong>the</strong>ir characters be<strong>in</strong>g here repeated:—Lucilla, type L. camissa,<br />

sp. n., I. c. p. 55; Imelda, type I. glaucosmia, I. c. p. 56; Compsoteria, type<br />

C. cascella, I. c. p. 57; T/irenodes *, type T. ccenoides, I. c. p. 58. They are all<br />

figured (Exot. Butt. 75, pi. 2.)<br />
