SIGNORET, I. c. (Seance 13 April, pp. 27, 28), communicates a paper entitled<br />

de Cannes en Mars 1870," <strong>in</strong> which he mentions certa<strong>in</strong> trees and plants<br />

and <strong>the</strong> species of Coccidae by which <strong>the</strong>y are <strong>in</strong>fested.<br />

PEDICULINA.<br />

GRIMM (Bull. Peters, t. xiv. pp. 513-517), publishes an <strong>in</strong>terest<strong>in</strong>g<br />

paper on <strong>the</strong> embryology of Phthirius pubis, and illustrates its various<br />

stages of development, from <strong>the</strong> time of <strong>the</strong> egg be<strong>in</strong>g deposited to that of<br />

<strong>the</strong> fully developed embryo.<br />
