Chorizoopes, g. n. Ccphalothovax short, nearly square, with <strong>the</strong> corners<br />

rounded off; caput <strong>in</strong>ord<strong>in</strong>ately large, very broad, much elevated, highest<br />

at occiput. Abdomen short, broad, nearly as high as long, largest beh<strong>in</strong>d,<br />

where it is bluff and has some small subconical em<strong>in</strong>ences. Eyes 8, four <strong>in</strong><br />

a small quadrangle <strong>in</strong> front of caput, and a pair on each side, far removed<br />

from <strong>the</strong> centrals, and close upon <strong>the</strong> lateral marg<strong>in</strong>s. Legs short, moderately<br />

strong; relative length 4,1, 2,3; tarsal claws 3, small, and with some supernumerary<br />

opposed and pect<strong>in</strong>ated ones beneath. Maxillce ra<strong>the</strong>r strong,<br />

greatly bent over <strong>the</strong> labium, which is somewhat triangular, broader <strong>in</strong> tho<br />

middle than at <strong>the</strong> base, and po<strong>in</strong>ted at <strong>the</strong> apex.—C. frontalis, sp. n., Ceylon :<br />

(Eta, g. n. Cephalothorax ra<strong>the</strong>r depressed above and rounded on <strong>the</strong> outer<br />

all <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> same plane. Eyes 8 on <strong>the</strong>se prom<strong>in</strong>ences, four on central,<br />

convex above, armed on <strong>the</strong> upperside with tuberculiform sp<strong>in</strong>es, mostly<br />

surmounted with long and stiongish bristles. Legs ra<strong>the</strong>r long, slender, and<br />

armed with long sp<strong>in</strong>e-like bristles; tarsal claws 3, with supernumerary<br />

opposed pect<strong>in</strong>ated ones beneath ; relative length 4,1, 2, 3. Maxillce strong,<br />

moderately long, <strong>in</strong>cl<strong>in</strong>ed to <strong>the</strong> labium, obliquely truncate ra<strong>the</strong>r on <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

outer, and po<strong>in</strong>ted on <strong>the</strong>ir <strong>in</strong>ner extremities. Labium short, broad ; apex<br />
