Donax. Dr. E. ROMER gives a very careful monograph of this<br />

genus <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> new edition of Mart<strong>in</strong>i and Chemnitz. Sixty-n<strong>in</strong>e<br />

species are described and figured, only two be<strong>in</strong>g new. They<br />

are disposed <strong>in</strong> seven sections, which are carefully characterized.<br />
