Cyl<strong>in</strong>dromyrmex, g. n, Mayr, I. c. p. 967. Facies of Colydium (Col.), and,<br />

from <strong>the</strong> entire h<strong>in</strong>der plane of <strong>the</strong> petiole be<strong>in</strong>g united with first segment of<br />

abdomen, resembl<strong>in</strong>g Amblyopone, Mystrium, Myopone, Prionopelta, and<br />

Stigmatomma, but with triangular mandibles. Sp. C. striatus, sp. n, Mayr,<br />

ibid., Sur<strong>in</strong>am ($).<br />

Cheliomyi-mex, g. n, Mayr, I. c. p. 968. Eyeless. <strong>Uni</strong>tes <strong>the</strong> Ponerides<br />

and Dorylides; of <strong>the</strong> latter, most resembl<strong>in</strong>g Typhlopone and Anomma <strong>in</strong><br />

structure, but with last abdom<strong>in</strong>al segment entirely conic and without teeth.<br />

Its narrow, much curved, and too<strong>the</strong>d mandibles and bidentate claws dist<strong>in</strong>guish<br />

it from Typhlomyrmex, Centromyrmex, and Syscia, genera of Ponerides<br />

<strong>in</strong> which <strong>the</strong> workers are eyeless. Sp. C. noHoni, sp. n, Mayr, I. c.<br />

Bothriomyrmex, g. n, Emery, Ann. Mus. Nap. v. p. 117 (no comparative<br />

Naples and Lecce. The author (Bull. Ent. Ital. ii. pp. 194,195) recharacterizes<br />

this genus, and redescribes both sexes of its species, of which he<br />

figures (t. ii. figs. 1 & 3) <strong>the</strong> w<strong>in</strong>g and head of <strong>the</strong> $, and (f. 6) <strong>the</strong> head<br />

of <strong>the</strong> cf • [N.B. The reference at p. 201 is erroneous.]<br />

Lepteuiilla, g. n., Emery, Bull. Ent. Ital. ii. p. 196. Allied to Typhlopona,<br />

but differs from all <strong>the</strong> Dorylides hi<strong>the</strong>rto described <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> biarticulate petiolo<br />

of its abdomen. Sp. L. revelierii, sp. n, Emery, ibid. tav. ii. f. 2 & 7, Corsica<br />
