frequent<strong>in</strong>g decompos<strong>in</strong>g fungus at Ontario.<br />

RYE (Ent. M. M. vi. p. 182) refers to Michow's observations on Necrophorus<br />

ruspator, Er, and N. microcephalus, Thorns.; and (vii. p. 9) records Colon<br />

denticulatum, Ktz, from England.<br />

Adelops adnexus, Schauf. Dieck, B. E. Z. xiv. p. 191, corrects an error as<br />

to <strong>the</strong> locality for this species (cf. Kraatz, ibid. p. 192).<br />

SCHAUFUSS (Nunq. Otios. pp. 33-37) redescribes his Adelops erberi and A.<br />

pru<strong>in</strong>osus, and enters <strong>in</strong>to some details as to his suppressed genera Qucestus<br />

and Qucesticulus.<br />

KRAATZ (B. E. Z. xiv. Beih. p. 96, note) repeats his op<strong>in</strong>ion that Catops and<br />

Choleva form dist<strong>in</strong>ct genera. He enumerates 5 recorded spp. of Catops from<br />

South Spa<strong>in</strong>, records Colon mur<strong>in</strong>um, Ktz, from Algesiras (p. 97, note),<br />

mentions 3 recorded species of Choleva from South Spa<strong>in</strong>, and briefly recharacterizes<br />

C. notaticollis, Baudi, p. 101, note.<br />

Myrmeeophilus (Motsch, 1844) is changed to Attcephilus and recharacterized,<br />

Catopsimorphus pilosus, Muls, be<strong>in</strong>g referred to it, as well as A.<br />

paradoxus, Mots. Motschoulsky, Bull. Mose xiii. p. 350.<br />

Catopocerus, g. n. Mots. I. c. p. 351. Intermediate between Catops and<br />

Agyrtes, hav<strong>in</strong>g a sh<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g surface, as <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> latter, and <strong>the</strong> antennae as <strong>in</strong><br />
