SCHREIBER Brigadier Derek Shuldam Schreiber, MVO, <strong>of</strong> Bellasis House, Dorking, (b.1904), 2 nd son <strong>of</strong> Charles Shuldam Schreiber <strong>of</strong><br />

Marlesford Hall, Suffolk, (1871-1943), and descended from Carl Schreiber <strong>of</strong> Durlach in Suabia, (1680-1760), who settled in England, c.1721.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Ermine three griffins' heads erased Vert.<br />

Crest: A dexter arm embowed in armour Proper garnished Or holding in the hand a dagger the point towards the dexter also Proper<br />

pommel and hilt Or.<br />

SCOTT Earl <strong>of</strong> Eldon. John Scott, 3 rd Earl <strong>of</strong> Eldon, JP, (1845-1926), was at one time <strong>of</strong> Shirley House, Croydon. John Joseph<br />

Nicholas Scott, 5 th Earl <strong>of</strong> Eldon, (b.1937), <strong>of</strong> 2 Coach House Lane, Wimbledon, succeeded his father the 4 th Earl on the latter's death, 1976.<br />

Alan Dudley Scott, ARIBA, <strong>of</strong> Goodwin's Copse, Mary's Green, Cobham, (1910-51), was 3 rd son <strong>of</strong> the Hon. Osmund Scott, (1876-1948), and<br />

grandson <strong>of</strong> the 3 rd Earl, above.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Argent three lions' heads erased Gules between the upper ones an anchor erect Sable on a chief wavy Azure a portcullis with<br />

chains Or.<br />

Crest: A lion's head erased Gules gorged with a chain and therefrom a portcullis pendant Or.<br />

Supporters: (<strong>of</strong> the Earls <strong>of</strong> Eldon). On either side a lion guardant Proper gorged with a double chain a portcullis attached thereto from<br />

which is suspended a shield Argent charged with a civic wreath Vert.<br />
