PEAKE Ronald Peake <strong>of</strong> Howard House, Ashtead, (1861-1937), was 2 nd son <strong>of</strong> Frederick Peake <strong>of</strong> Burrough-on-the-Hill,<br />

Leicestershire, (1832-1906).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Quarterly, 1 and 4, Sable three crosses pattée Argent within an orle <strong>of</strong> eight fleurs-de-lys and a bordure Or (Peake); 2 and 3,<br />

Per chevron Sable and Or in chief two keys the wards upwards and in base a padlock counterchanged (Copson).<br />

Crest: A heart Gules between two wings displayed Erminois.<br />

<strong>of</strong> Arthur Pease <strong>of</strong> Hummersknott, Darlington, {Co. Durham}, was created Baron Daryngton <strong>of</strong> Witley. He was succeeded by his 2 nd son Jocelyn<br />

Arthur Pike Pease, 2 nd Baron Daryngton, (b.1908).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Azure a fess between in chief two lambs passant Argent and in base a wreath <strong>of</strong> laurel Or.<br />

PECKHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL for Girls What seem to be intended for the arms used by the school are on a board in Fittleworth Church,<br />

Sussex, with the legend "In appreciation <strong>of</strong> the kindness shown by the people <strong>of</strong> Fittleworth to the Peckham Central School for Girls during the<br />

World War", with date 1942.<br />

PEEK Sir Henry William Peek, 1 st Bart, DL, (1825-98), MP for Mid-<strong>Surrey</strong>, 1868-84, founded the Peek Institute in Cranleigh in<br />

memory <strong>of</strong> his wife Margaret Maria, (d.1884), 2 nd daughter <strong>of</strong> William Edgar <strong>of</strong> Eagle House, Clapham Common. His grandson Sir Wilfrid<br />
