<strong>Arms</strong>: Quarterly, 1 and 4, Quarterly, i and iv, Sable a cross double-parted and fretty engrailed Or between four spear heads Argent<br />

imbrued Proper (Prosser); ii and iii, Argent a fess engrailed Sable between three escutcheons <strong>of</strong> the last each charged with an annulet Or (Wegg);<br />

2 and 3, Argent three fleurs-de-lys between two bendlets nebuly Gules (Haggitt).<br />

(1814-92), assumed the additional name and arms <strong>of</strong> Dymoke, qv, 1866.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Quarterly, 1 and 4, Sable two lions passant crowned Or (Dymoke); 2 and 3, Argent a lion rampant Sable (Well(e)s).<br />

WELLESLEY Lord George Wellesley, MC, (1889-1967), 3 rd son <strong>of</strong> the 4 th Duke <strong>of</strong> Wellington, (1849-1934), was at one time <strong>of</strong> Mount<br />

Hill, Lower Kingswood.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Quarterly, 1 and 4, Gules a cross Argent between five plates in saltire in each quarter (Wellesley): 2 and 3, Or a lion rampant<br />

Gules (Colley); and as an honourable augmentation, in chief an escutcheon charged with the crosses <strong>of</strong> St. George, St. Andrew and St. Patrick<br />

conjoined, being the union badge <strong>of</strong> the United Kingdom <strong>of</strong> Great Britain and Ireland.<br />

Crest: Out <strong>of</strong> a ducal coronet Or a demi lion rampant Gules holding a forked pennon <strong>of</strong> the last flowing to the sinister one third per<br />

pale from the staff Argent charged with a cross <strong>of</strong> St. George.<br />
