Farnham. Agnes' brother, John White, originally bore this coat with a mullet for difference but after he became Bishop <strong>of</strong> Winchester bore Per<br />

chevron embattled Or and Gules three roses counterchanged slipped Proper, on a chief <strong>of</strong> the second three hour glasses <strong>of</strong> the first.<br />

Sir John White, Lord Mayor <strong>of</strong> London, 1563, another brother <strong>of</strong> Agnes, bore Per fess Azure and Or a pale counterchanged, upon the first three<br />

plates each charged with three bars wavy Vert, on the second as many lion heads erased Gules. (HG iv 113-4)<br />

WHITE The Hon. Charles James White <strong>of</strong> White House, Harestone Valley, Caterham, (1860-1930), Chief Commissioner <strong>of</strong> Police,<br />

Rhodesia, 1892-5, and Brigadier-General the Hon. Robert White, CB, CMG, DSO, <strong>of</strong> Primrose Cottage, Fife Road, East Sheen, (1861-1936),<br />

were 3 rd and 4 th sons <strong>of</strong> Sir Luke White, 2 nd Baron Annaly, KP, (1829-88).<br />
