SURREY COATS OF ARMS<br />

PIRRIE Viscount Pirrie. Sir William James Pirrie, KP, PC, 1 st and last Baron and Viscount Pirrie <strong>of</strong> Belfast, <strong>of</strong> Witley<br />

Park, Godalming, (1847-1924), son <strong>of</strong> James Alexander Pirrie <strong>of</strong> Little Clandeboye, Co. Down, was a partner in Harland and Wolff's<br />

shipbuilding works, Lord Mayor <strong>of</strong> Belfast, 1896 and 1897, and High Sheriff <strong>of</strong> Co. Antrim, 1898, and <strong>of</strong> Co. Down, 1899.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Argent a saltire Gules between in chief and in base a bugle horn stringed Sable and in fess two seahorses respecting one<br />

another Proper.<br />

Crest: A falcon's head erased per saltire Argent and Gules.<br />

Supporters: On either side upon an anchor fesswise Proper a falcon Argent beaked membered and collared Sable belled Or.<br />

PISTOR <strong>of</strong> Reigate.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Argent on a baker's peel three * Sable three plates [round loaves Argent].<br />

As borne (SV1623) by William Pistor <strong>of</strong> Reigate, son <strong>of</strong> William Pistor <strong>of</strong> Reigate, 2 nd son <strong>of</strong> Robert Pistor <strong>of</strong> King's Somborne, Hampshire.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Per chevron Ermine and Azure in chief two acorns slipped Proper in base the prow <strong>of</strong> an antique galley Argent.<br />

Crest: A griffin's head couped gorged with a wreath <strong>of</strong> oak Proper between two wings each charged with a bezant.<br />

PIXLEY Lieutenant-Colonel Stewart Aikin Pixley, OBE, VD, <strong>of</strong> Maybury, Knowle, Woking, (1857-1942), son <strong>of</strong> Stewart Pixley,<br />

VD, DL, JP, (1824-99), had a son Major Stewart Edward Pixley <strong>of</strong> Hill Place, Knaphill, Woking, (b.1889), who was father <strong>of</strong> Captain Stewart<br />

Reginald Vyvyan Pixley, RA, <strong>of</strong> Hill View Cottage, Bisley, (b.1921).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Azure a fess engrailed Or gutté-de-larmes between two daggers points downwards in chief and a cross crosslet in base Or.<br />

Crest: In front <strong>of</strong> a cross crosslet fitché Or a morion Proper between two wings Azure each charged with a dagger as in the arms.<br />
